Jan. 19, 2005: Aligo Acquires H2 Technologies
Former H2 Technologies CEO John McCarthy has been named vice president of sales and will spearhead Aligo operations in Atlanta. With the acquisition, Aligo increases its customer base to over 1,200 and augments its channel relationships, says the company. Aligo's expanded distribution channel now includes tier one organizations such as AT&T, ESRI, GIAC, Intel, Intuit Master Builder, USA Mobility, Microsoft Great Plains, Motorola, Nextel, and Sun Microsystems.
"The acquisition of H2 is strategic to advancing Aligo's drive to deliver the advances in mobile technology to small and medium service-oriented businesses," said Emerick Woods, president and chief executive officer of Aligo. "H2 Technologies is a strong, innovating force in the field service industry vertical and their existing market traction extends our ability to address key priorities in mobilizing the HVAC and construction industries."

H2 Technologies offers Servicom, a line of service and work order management, dispatching, and mobile field service products. The firm's service management technologies advance communication between the back office and field workers to help streamline the operations of HVAC and construction businesses, says the company. Servicom integrates with other systems, such as accounting, payroll, job costing, and ERP systems, and industry specific pricing systems such as those prevalent in the HVAC, construction, plumbing, and electrical markets.
