SAN FRANCISCO - Aligo Inc., a leading mobile field force software company, announced that it has completed the acquisition of H2 Technologies, a leading developer of service management software, including dispatching, work order processing, and billing software designed for service and specialty contractors. Aligo and H2 Technologies are privately held companies and the terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Former H2 Technologies CEO John McCarthy has been named vice president of sales and will spearhead Aligo operations in Atlanta. With the acquisition, Aligo increases its customer base to over 1,200 and augments its channel relationships, says the company. Aligo's expanded distribution channel now includes tier one organizations such as AT&T, ESRI, GIAC, Intel, Intuit Master Builder, USA Mobility, Microsoft Great Plains, Motorola, Nextel, and Sun Microsystems.

"The acquisition of H2 is strategic to advancing Aligo's drive to deliver the advances in mobile technology to small and medium service-oriented businesses," said Emerick Woods, president and chief executive officer of Aligo. "H2 Technologies is a strong, innovating force in the field service industry vertical and their existing market traction extends our ability to address key priorities in mobilizing the HVAC and construction industries."

"By joining forces with Aligo, H2 now has the opportunity to accelerate the development of leading mobile solutions for service and specialty contractors," said John McCarthy, former chief executive officer of H2 and newly appointed vice president of sales at Aligo. "We are excited to choose a path of growth and innovation that will work for H2, for our customers, and for our employees."

H2 Technologies offers Servicom, a line of service and work order management, dispatching, and mobile field service products. The firm's service management technologies advance communication between the back office and field workers to help streamline the operations of HVAC and construction businesses, says the company. Servicom integrates with other systems, such as accounting, payroll, job costing, and ERP systems, and industry specific pricing systems such as those prevalent in the HVAC, construction, plumbing, and electrical markets.
