Lower cost device said to deliver value in the smart thermostat market

ecobee Inc. has announced the launch of its ecobee3 lite smart thermostat. The company said the new device is designed to deliver superior comfort, control, and energy savings at a lower cost. The thermostat will be available for purchase across North America on Oct. 31, 2016.
This connected thermostat features installation and access via the Lyric app (iOS and Android) and customized geofencing, which allows it to easily adapt to the end user’s schedule. The thermostat’s options may be configured at the unit itself.

Carrier has announced that its Côr smart thermostat is now compatible with Amazon’s popular Alexa-enabled devices such as the Echo and Echo Dot. This compatibility allows homeowners to easily direct the thermostat to set and change temperature by voice command.
