The Quality Standards are recognized by the American National Standards Institute.

The Building Performance Institute Inc. (BPI) has announced that BPI-1100-T-201x: Home Energy Auditing Standard is now available for public comment through Aug. 25, 2014. BPI said the standard was developed to clarify and standardize what is included in a whole-building, science-based energy audit of existing homes.
