The Building Performance Institute Inc. (BPI) has announced the Jon Siemen Memorial Scholarship Program to help industry professionals in attaining BPI certification. The scholarship has been developed to honor Jon Siemen, BPI technical relations representative, who passed away in March 2015.
The Employment Ready Certification program is a series of discipline-specific examinations that have been used for more than a decade by educational programs to prove entry-level technicians possess the core knowledge of HVACR system theory, function, application, components, and troubleshooting ability that is required for success when entering the workforce.

Design and construction of Metro Tech’s latest building, a 54,000-square-foot facility housing its Metro Career Academy (MCA) for at-risk high school students, incorporated a host of sustainable building and renewable energy aspects that resulted in becoming a LEED-certified CareerTech building by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
