The event is sponsored by International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR). The themes of the conference are divided into two main areas: The cold chain and sustainability.
The cold chain topics include:
- Process and equipment design innovation;
- Storage, transportation and logistics;
- Modeling and predictive tools;
- Food quality and food safety;
- Progress in commercial refrigeration; and
- Pharmaceutical cold chain.
The sustainability topics include:
- Refrigerants and refrigeration in the future;
- Innovative technologies;
- Carbon foot printing;
- Cold chain in developing countries;
- Energy efficiency in the cold chain; and
- Renewable energies in the cold chain.
The official language is English. Papers, abstracts, presentations, and discussions will be in English. Simultaneous translation will not be provided.
