Schneider Electric, a specialist in energy management, and Autodesk Inc., a leader in 3D design and engineering, have announced an agreement to collaborate to enhance current practices for building lifecycle management based on building information modeling (BIM).

Nest share results from three energy-savings studies that indicated, on average, the Nest Learning Thermostat saved customers about 10-12 percent on their heating bills and 15 percent on their cooling bills. 

Robert Bosch North America Corp. has acquired Climatec LLC, a leading provider of energy efficiency, building automation, security, and life-safety solutions for the U.S. market. Headquartered in Phoenix, Climatec generated sales of $170 million in 2013.

EnerNOC Inc., a provider of energy intelligence software (EIS), announced that it has closed its acquisition of World Energy Solutions Inc., an energy management software and services firm that helps enterprises simplify the energy procurement process through a suite of software-as-a-service (SaaS) tools.
