Increasing Technician Certification, Consumer Awareness Top Goals for Lanier

The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) and North American Technician Excellence (NATE) recently announced the appointment of John Lanier as NATE’s new chief operating officer (COO).
The System Performance program was developed to aid technicians in understanding the proper techniques and procedures used to verify and optimize performance of HVAC systems.
He earned his spot on the Skills-USA WorldTeam by earning the silver medal in the event at the SkillsUSA championships in June 2011, as a senior at Loarin County Joint Vocation School (JVS). A year earlier, Kuhn competed as a junior, winning the Ohio state competition in the HVACR category.
