Emerson Climate Technologies has acquired Vilter Manufacturing LLC, a privately held compressor manufacturer based in Cudahy, Wis. Vilter compressors are used in a wide range of industrial refrigeration systems. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Hudson Technologies Inc. opened a new 60,000-square-foot warehouse and reclamation facility in Champaign, Ill. The new facility complements Hudson’s existing 50,000-square-foot facility and will increase the company’s production capacity and processing efficiency for the reclamation of refrigerants.

TAC Field Devices has updated its voluntary recall of TAC Erie BB2400 boiler operating controls and BB1200 boiler reset controls, started in conjunction with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission in Jan. 2007. Since then, more than half of the approximately 850 units, manufactured in either Loves Park, Ill., or Lewiston, Maine, have been recovered.
