Ice Storm Leads To CO Poisoning

At least four people died and hundreds became ill from carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning in North Carolina in the wake of an ice storm on Dec. 4-5 that destroyed electric utility lines in much of the state.

Unions Propose Labor Agreement

According to the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association (SMACNA), a group of labor unions and trade associations have proposed an agreement that would guarantee that St. Louis-area construction job sites will have no lockouts, strikes, picketing, or other labor disruptions involving their workforce.
