The collaboration between Carrier and Apple provides homeowners a seamless experience in managing their home's climate controls and comfort. 

The ZigBee Alliance, an association of companies creating, maintaining, and delivering open, global standards for the low-power wireless Internet of Things (IoT), and the Thread Group, an organization focused on making Thread the foundation for the IoT in the home and beyond, announced that multiple members of both organizations have demonstrated prototypes that run the ZigBee Alliance’s universal language for smart devices on Thread networks. 

The Ciqada platform consists of fully integrated hardware modules, secure web services, and mobile apps, allowing designers to add internet monitoring and control to new or existing products. 

BACnet is introducing new features that will help facility managers to implement an Internet of Things (IoT) strategy for their facilities. IoT is important to facility managers as devices such as chillers, boilers, lights, fire alarm, security, and elevators come with network smarts onboard to monitor the health, status, and energy consumption through their front end software applications.
