ASHRAE's newly published manual is based on the guidelines in Standard 170 and provides design recommendations for health care facilities with an emphasis on proven, cost-effective solutions that result in reduced infections, lower maintenance, and higher reliability.

The APK direct drive panel fans are available in diameters of 12-36 inches with capacities up to 23,000 cfm. 

Both the Broan® and NuTone® lines of ULTRA™ fans and fan lights have expanded to include ULTRA Sense™ models, which provide humidity- or motion-sensing capabilities.

Available in various sizes in the range of 26-72 inches, the manufacturer’s air curtains come in operating voltages of 120, 240, or 460 V.

Though only currently utilized by a small segment of the U.S. HVAC market, mini-split units are on the rise.
