Added to the Coleman® LX and Comforteer™ series of mid-efficiency 14.5 SEER air conditioners and heat pumps are 1.5-ton condensing units. To boost energy efficiency and offer a compact footprint, both 1.5-ton models include a coil constructed of aluminum microchannel tubing and enhanced aluminum fins.

The Evolution® Extreme variable-speed heat pump (280ANV) has efficiencies of up to 13 HSPF and up to 20.5 SEER. When combined with an Evolution control and Evolution gas furnace or fan coil, the heat pump utilizes a variable-speed compressor to precisely match its operation to the heating and cooling needs of the home.
An upgrade to the Envision® product line, the 5 Series delivers whole-home comfort. The 5 Series 500A11 combines forced-air heating and a/c and generates a portion of a home’s hot water. In HVAC terms, Malcolm Rowe may have the coolest home in Putnam County, N.Y. Rowe recently constructed a 5,800-square-foot residence boasting an immaculate energy envelope. The home, finished in July 2011, is Energy Star rated, EPA Indoor AirPLUS labeled, and is pending LEED accreditation.
