Armistead Mechanical Inc., a provider of mechanical construction, engineering, and contracting services throughout the New Jersey/New York area, has received two awards recognizing the company’s outstanding safety record.

The Associated Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors of Texas Charitable and Educational Foundation has awarded a total of $10,000 in scholarships to 10 students for 2014.

Emerson Climate Technologies has announced the launch of its ComfortGuard™ Monitoring Service, which allows homeowners to manage their HVAC equipment by supplying real-time information and insight that predicts problems, prevents energy waste, and protects indoor comfort around-the-clock, said the company.

Orange County contractor Service Champions has aided the Villa Center with complimentary installation of two new heating and air conditioning systems provided by Lennox. The Villa Center is a home specifically for women recovering from alcoholism and has been in service since 1963.

Phillips Energy announced that it has named Jonathan Miller as the company’s new HVAC manager. “We added the HVAC department in 1998 to make Phillips Energy a true full-service company for our residential and commercial customers,” said John Phillips, president of Phillips Energy.

Hartzell Air Movement announced that it plans to consolidate its Portland, Indiana, manufacturing facility into its Piqua, Ohio, operations. The company said the consolidation will reduce customer lead times, increase efficiencies, and provide better utilization of resources.

Enervex Georgia, a division of Enervex Inc., has taken over application design, sales, and technical support of Enervex and Exhausto products in the state of Georgia. The company said this includes mechanical draft systems and heat recovery systems for boiler applications as well as multi-story venting systems.

Chas Roberts Air Conditioning & Plumbing recently received the Liberty Mutual Gold Safety Award for 2013. The company also received the award in 2010, 2011, and 2012. 

Sustainable Energy Fund invites not-for-profit and governmental entities in Pennsylvania to apply for a limited number of loans or leases at zero percent financing to complete energy efficiency or renewable energy projects.

The Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating (CIPH) and the Mechanical Contractors Association of Canada (MCA Canada) jointly held a Parliamentary Day of Awareness in Ottawa.
