Hartzell Air Movement Consolidates Manufacturing
Company Says Consolidation ‘Allows Us to Build on Our Strengths’
PIQUA, Ohio — Hartzell Air Movement announced that it plans to consolidate its Portland, Indiana, manufacturing facility into its Piqua, Ohio, operations. The company said the consolidation will reduce customer lead times, increase efficiencies, and provide better utilization of resources.
Sean Steimle, president of Hartzell Air Movement, said, “By consolidating our resources to our Piqua, Ohio, headquarters, it allows us to build on our strengths and continue to be a leader in the air movement industry.” Neil Cordonnier, vice president of operations, added, “This change will continue to support our efforts to maximize our Piqua, Ohio, footprint and provide the very best service to our customers.”
The company expects the consolidation to be completed by the end of August. All employees will have the opportunity to transfer to the Piqua plant. For those employees who elect not to transfer, the company will provide separation benefits and outplacement services. The relocation will add approximately 30 jobs in Ohio by August.
