At a Cleveland Air Conditioning Contractors of America breakfast meeting, Swepston said, “You should know these things so you can project the sales you need day-to-day.”

On large variable-frequency drives (VFDs), he uses his meter to uncover capacitance problems, transistor firing mishaps, and even bleed-throughs on a gate.
