Mitsubishi Electric US Inc. Cooling & Heating Division (Mitsubishi Electric), announced the appointments of Tom McSharry to senior director of solutions and Brian Wright to director of educational sales.

 

Cambridge Engineering continues its vision and planning for the future with promotions of key personnel to executive and management positions.  These promotions follow the appointment of Marc Braun as the new president in January. John Kramer, the former president, continues in his role as CEO.

Thermostat Recycling Corp. (TRC) announced that its sixth annual Big Man On Planet (BMOP) competition begins May 1, in partnership with Heating, Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Distributors International (HARDI). BMOP will run through Oct. 31, and all HARDI wholesaler members are eligible to participate.

The 100 Best Corporate Citizens List was first published in 1999 in Business Ethics Magazine, and has been managed by CR Magazine since 2007. To compile the list, every company in the Russell 1000 — the highest ranked stocks in the Russell 3000 Index of publicly held U.S. companies — is ranked according to 260 data points. The methodology for generating the list is governed by the Ratings and Rankings Thought Leadership Council of the Corporate Responsibility Association (CRA).

According to the new market research report, "Building Automation System [BAS] Market - by Communication Technology, Offering, Application, and Region - Global Forecast To 2022," published by MarketsandMarkets, the overall BAS market was valued at $53.66 billion in 2016 and is expected to reach $99.11 billion by 2022, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10.73 percent between 2017 and 2022.

Energy Control Technologies Inc. announced its new alliance and partnership with Distech Controls for distribution and promotion of its products, solutions, and services. As an authorized distributor of Distech Controls, Energy Control will provide sales, application engineering, design and configuration, as well as technical support of its products and systems.  

Permira announced that a company backed by the Permira funds has signed a definitive agreement to acquire DiversiTech from an affiliate of The Jordan Co. LP. As part of the transaction, the senior management team led by Jim Prescott, president and CEO, will remain significant owners of the company.

Plasma Air Intl. announced the appointment of Staice June as director of business development, gaming and hospitality. In her new role, June is responsible for developing Plasma Air’s business and driving the growth of all product lines within the North American gaming and hospitality markets. 

Mitsubishi Electric US, Inc. Cooling & Heating Division (Mitsubishi Electric), held its 2017 Diamond Leadership Conference at the Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain in Marana, Arizona, from February 25–28. The annual conference, with a theme of vision, dedication, and success — included nearly 400 distributors, sales reps, and employees who celebrated a successful year as well as new programs, products, and strategies for 2017.
