Heating, Air-conditioning & Refrigeration Distributors International (HARDI) released its monthly TRENDS report, showing average sales for HARDI distributor members increased by 3.2 percent in June 2017.

Heating, Air-conditioning & Refrigeration Distributors International (HARDI) hosted its annual Emerging Leaders Conference in Louisville from July 23-25.

The HVACR Alliance announced its endorsement of H.R. 3515, the HVAC Expensing and Technology (HEAT) Act. The bill, introduced by Reps. Pat Tiberi, R-Ohio, and Ron Kind, D-Wis., would allow commercial building owners to expense qualified HVACR equipment under Section 179 of the U.S. Tax Code. 

Rheem® introduced the 2016 Premier Performers award for the Rheem and Ruud® distributor winners who are setting the standard for excellence in their markets. These distributors must meet a variety of performance criteria, including business and sales growth, superior customer service and support, partnership dedication, and more.

Carrier continues to honor its 2016 commitment to employ approximately 1,100 associates in Indianapolis. As announced in November, this includes headquarters and engineering jobs and more than 800 employees supporting our gas furnace manufacturing center.

Uponor North America announced that the company has signed an agreement to purchase an existing 237,000-square-foot manufacturing facility and office space in Hutchinson, Minnesota. The $6.35 million investment is located about 70 miles west from its North American headquarters in Apple Valley, Minnesota.

 

Danfoss announced the opening of its new monitoring center in Baltimore, Maryland, which will provide 24/7 assistance to its food-retail customers utilizing Danfoss Enterprise Services.

U.S. Congressman Jim Renacci, R-Ohio, visited sheet metal manufacturer Heating and Cooling Products (HCP), a HARDI member, to talk to business leadership and factory workers.

The Carel Group continues its international expansion strategy through acquisitions by fully acquiring Alfaco Polska Sp. z o.o, based in Wrocław, Poland, the company’s Polish distributor for over 20 years.

The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) filed a motion to intervene as a defendant in two identical federal lawsuits brought in the Northern District of California. One suit was filed by the Natural Resources Defense Council and the Sierra Club; the other by eleven states' attorneys general and one city attorney.
