Recently, while trying to figure out a way to describe a recent meeting in Washington regarding the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) rulemaking to govern the allocation of HCFC-22 (R-22) for the years 2015-2019, the phrase came to me as the only way to describe what I saw and heard. 

Keeping abreast of changing technology is a challenge that distributors can find daunting. There are several technology options, small to large, that change the way the HVAC industry does business. 

 In an effort to increase the number of technicians that are certified and more importantly recertified, North American Technician Excellence (NATE) has made changes to its certification program. With one in every three NATE tests being given by a HARDI member, distributors are hoping this increases participation in NATE.
