Connecticut Launches Nation’s First Statewide Home Energy Score Program

Other states are following Connecticut’s lead

Connecticut has launched a statewide residential energy labeling program. The first state to use the Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) Home Energy Score, EnergizeCT’s Home Energy Solutions program will provide an energy efficiency score and recommend efficiency improvements to residents across the state.

BPI Credential Approved by DOE

To offer DOE’s Home Energy Score to homeowners, assessors must work directly with a Home Energy Score Partner and hold at least one minimum accepted credential, including BPI’s BSP certificate, Building Analyst, Envelope Professional, Home Energy Professional (HEP) Energy Auditor, and/or HEP Quality Control Inspector certifications.
