Manufacturers are finding unique ways to advance the technology in this segment of the HVAC industry while also being consumer-conscious and ensuring the first-cost barrier that has restricted the market’s growth in the past is chipped away.

The Radiant Professionals Alliance (RPA) will hold a one-day “Basics of Radiant Heating and Cooling” class on Thursday, Oct. 29, beginning at 8 a.m. at the Taco Inc. training facilities in Cranston, Rhode Island.

Uponor North America announced it is expanding its manufacturing facility in Apple Valley, Minnesota, beginning late spring 2015, with completion expected by Dec. 1, 2015. The $18 million investment will be used toward renovation and creation of an additional 88,000 square feet.

As energy costs continue to increase year after year, radiant heating and radiant cooling is becoming commonplace, especially in commercial installations.
