ACCA announced it will be offering continuing education units (CEUs) for Building Performance Institute (BPI) and North American Technician Excellence (NATE) credit, and HVAC CEUs for the states of Alabama and Ohio, during its ACCA 2015 conference.
Schools across the country are adapting their curriculums to offer distance learning, which increases their attractiveness to HVACR prospects who wish to learn the trade whenever they can, from wherever they wish.
The five-day event did away with opening ceremonies and keynote speakers and trimmed back social events to allow more time for technical sessions, both in terms of quantity and quality.

Nest Labs has become a North American Technician Excellence (NATE) Recognized Training Provider, registering its Nest Thermostat Installer Training to qualify for NATE continuing education hours (CEH).
As demand for HVAC professionals grows, many remain hopeful existing apprenticeship programs will be able to attract new recruits, and that new training models may entice the next generation to enter the HVAC industry.
