We all know that New Year’s resolutions are much easier to make than to keep. Yet we keep making them year after year. Most people have at least one or two things they’d like to improve on personally, and many people — including refrigeration contractors — make resolutions for their professional lives and their companies as well.
Productivity as the new measured variable requires a considerable change in thinking and attitudes towards maintaining buildings and assets, including the budgets to support it, and the resources to execute it.
Leaders were divided into small groups led by a mentor. The mentors spent their time facilitating discussions, encouraging team members to step out of their comfort zones, and sharing their many years of leadership experience.

Mitsubishi Electric Corp. announced that Climaveneta S.p.A. and RC Group S.p.A., which are wholly owned subsidiaries of MELCO Hydronics & IT Cooling S.p.A., will merge and begin doing business as Mitsubishi Electric Hydronics & IT Cooling Systems S.p.A. on Jan. 1, 2017.
As 2016 comes to a close, I’m left reflecting about the many conversations I’ve had with owners and leaders throughout the year. I find that many of those conversations contain simple, yet powerful phrases of wisdom that have been graciously shared with me over the years. I now get to pass these on for others’ consideration. I thought I would conclude my final blog of the year by offering three of these gems that I’ve found most impactful in my life and career.
With the election of Donald Trump as the 45th president of the United States, the business community can almost certainly look forward to a new era. Although many of Trump’s policies on labor and employment-related laws and regulations have yet to be fully developed, there are many Obama-era initiatives that could face significant changes under the new Republican administration.
