The veterans received toolkits containing the essential hand tools and diagnostics necessary to start a career in the HVAC field at a special awards ceremony at CSN’s Cheyenne Campus.
The project aimed to insulate chilled and hot water piping in historic buildings without compromising architectural features in time for the start of the 2014-2015 school year.
While plenty of attention needs to be spent making sure students know what a great industry HVAC is to work in, it is also imperative the industry give the same amount of attention to training those interested in making HVAC their career.
The goal of this project was to provide quality insulation for the rooftop ducts on Allan Hancock College’s new 44,788-square-foot student services and 21,053-square-foot administration building.
The coursework includes a construction core course that is compliant with the Occupational Safety & Health Administration-10 (OSHA-10) and six HVAC courses, including NCCER’s apprentice level one through four, Williams said.

The newly formed Coyne American Institute Educational Foundation will provide scholarships and equipment for students enrolled at Coyne College in Chicago and also Brown College of Court Reporting in Atlanta. Coyne College offers degrees and diplomas in heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration.
