WASHINGTON, DC — The American Council for Renewable Energy (ACRE) is holding its organizing meeting this week at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, DC, on July 10 and 11.

“ACRE’s mission is to help bring renewable energy into the mainstream of our country’s economy and lifestyle,” stated Michael Eckhart, acting chairman. “A key first step is engaging the financial community, as financing is a key part of the renewable energy equation.”

ACRE is a nonprofit organization, based in Washington, DC, which covers such energy sources as solar, wind, hydro, biomass, geothermal, waste energy, biofuels, and hydrogen systems.
