ComStar International Inc.: Refrigerants
Three new HFC refrigerants are available. RS-24 (R426A), RS-44 (R424A), and RS-52 are drop-in replacements for R-12 and R-22; no equipment alterations are necessary. They operate with all refrigeration oils including mineral oil. Existing equipment would require no oil change. These refrigerants operate at high, medium, and low evaporator temperatures. RS-24 and RS-52 have glides of less than 1°F and RS-44 has a glide of 2°. They meet ISO 14001 standards.
