ALEXANDRIA, Va. - The North American Insulation Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) released free information on the Federal Trade Commission's (FTC) recent revisions to the Home Insulation Rule.

This rule is designed to protect consumers from misleading, unfair or deceptive acts or practices. NAIMA encourages insulation contractors, consumers, and builders to better educate themselves on the new FTC requirements regarding home insulation.

NAIMA's "Insulation Facts No. 6, Labeling and Advertising of Home Insulation" helps consumers, contractors and builders understand what is required in terms of package labeling and advertising of home insulation. "Insulation Facts No. 9, Facts About Fiber Glass Loose-Fill Insulation" provides specific information on the requirements for loose-fill insulation under the revised FTC Rule.

The literature is free and can be downloaded at www.naima.org.
