Heat Spy® DHS215XEL, a compact, handheld, noncontact infrared thermometer, measures surface temperatures in a variety of applications such as HVACR, electrical troubleshooting, and plant/facilities maintenance. The instrument features an adjustable emissivity setting, a selectable on-off laser sighting system, a settable high/low audible alarm, electronic trigger lock for continuous temperature scanning, auto power off, and a distance-to-target ratio of 50:1, which allows users to measure smaller targets from greater distances. The thermometer has a temperature range of -58° to 1,832°F (-50° to 1,000°C) and includes a type K thermocouple, ANSI mini-jack input, and four-digit backlit dual LCD for measuring and displaying noncontact and contact temperatures in Fahrenheit and Celsius simultaneously. The unit holds and logs measurements to memory and can display minimum, maximum, average, and delta temperature. Data can also be sent to a PC using the USB connection and supplied software.
