A variable air volume (VAV) package now is available on the DP40 and DP50 MoistuRe-Mover® outdoor air units for applications when the amount of outside air must be varied to match demand, the company says. According to the manufacturer, the VAV package allows the unit to decrease the amount of outside air being supplied to as low as 15 percent of the full airflow. The package modulates the amount of outside air delivered in response to varying duct static pressure. Features include an internal bypass damper with electronic modulating actuator, adjustable-frequency drive on the supply fan motor with two-contactor bypass, and airflow measuring station on the fan inlet with PE transducer. An airflow measuring station on the unit's supply air outlet is optional.
