The upgrades on the line of Copper-Fin® boilers and water heaters include a built-in combustible floor shield; a built-in, low-profile draft hood; electronic intermittent ignition; and two-stage firing control system for boilers. The manufacturer states that the units offer an 82-percent thermal efficiency. The gasketless design of the copper finned-tube heat exchanger reduces the risk of leaks or system failures, says the company. The copper-finned tubing has cast iron headers. The line employs Loch-Heat™ ceramic insulation tiles, which are 25-percent lighter than other materials, claims the manufacturer. The stainless steel burners can be adapted for use with either natural or LP gas.
