ArmaTuff laminated outdoor insulation is designed to offer protection from harmful UV radiation, acid rain, and chemicals. These insulators have a weather-resistant membrane bonded to Armaflex sheets or rolls, says the company. The manufacturer says these products can be ordered with or without pre-applied pressure-sensitive adhesive for installation on exterior ducts, vessels, large pipes, or tanks. ArmaTuff Silver is composed of Armaflex closed-cell elastomeric foam and has a foil-faced exterior, which is resistant to UV radiation and ozone, states the company. According to the manufacturer, ArmaTuff White's laminate is made of a foil and polymer composite, with an extra coating to resist acid rain and chemicals, while ArmaTuff 25 has a rugged, thermoplastic rubber membrane, which provides protection against outdoor conditions, such as acid rain and chemicals.
