The Wet Switchâ„¢ flood detector is a solid-state control designed to turn off the system at first detection of a leak. The unit is placed at the bottom of a dry secondary drain pan. When water contacts the plastic fabric pad on the bottom of the Wet Switch, the water is drawn quickly to the sensors and the system is turned off. A lit LED indicates the detector has been activated. The unit is reset by wiping the absorbent pad with a towel and briefly interrupting power. It connects to 24 VAC, and has a 2-A contact rating.
