The compact Type RC thermostatic expansion valve (TEV) is an ideal replacement of original equipment valve types BI, BBI, CBI, and CBBI, says the company. The TEV contains internal check valves to allow reverse flow on heat pump applications, thus eliminating an external check valve piped around the TEV, states the manufacturer. Compatible with R-22 or R-410A, RC valves have nominal capacity ratings of 2 to 6 tons.
