The newest version of the DCM Series duct cleaning system, the DCM-600, is designed for use in houses and commercial buildings. The company states that it is a system that will thoroughly clean all types of ductwork - flex, insulated, steel, round, rectangle, etc. The system spins the cleaning brush inside the ductwork and breaks the deposits' static cling to the walls. Compressed air comes out of the brush head to push the debris to the vacuum source. A negative-air HEPA vacuum is used to capture the dirt and debris. This durable unit features a powerful 1/2-hp motor with forward-reverse controls for better cross-scrubbing, says the manufacturer. The DCM-600 incorporates a variable-speed control dial - slow speed for flex/insulated ducts and high speed for steel ducts or piping.
