Benjamin R. Shoster, of Severn, Md., a business management student at the University of Maryland, was one of the winners of a 2004 scholarship award presented by the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors-National Association (PHCC) Educational Foundation. The award was announced at the PHCC 122nd annual convention in Boston.

Scholarships will be distributed to Shoster and the other winners during their course of studies in their plumbing-heating-cooling- (p-h-c-) related majors.

The PHCC Educational Foundation Scholarship Program awards scholarships to students who are enrolled in a p-h-c-related major at an accredited college or university and intend to pursue a career in the p-h-c profession. The purpose of the program is to elevate the technical and business competence of the p-h-c industry.

The PHCC Educational Foundation is dedicated to developing and delivering business management educational programs to p-h-c contractors through seminars, training courses, publications, and Internet offerings.
