FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Facilities Services Division of the University of Alaska-Fairbanks hosts "Hvac Shop," a Web site which describes the curriculum of the HVAC department and a listing of the faculty members.
The classes teach the following:
Maintain chillers and chilled water air conditioning systems;
Maintain fancoil units, controls, and valves;
Maintain and repair heating systems;
Fabricate ductwork and railings;
Provide welding services as needed;
Repair walk-in coolers, freezers, and ice machines;
Repair environmental chambers;
Repair/install fire alarm systems; and
Repair/install security and burglar alarm systems.
