Supco: Gas Heating System Tester
April 21, 2005
The SmarTester is a handheld diagnostic tool for troubleshooting electronic ignition systems of gas-fired heating appliances. It detects intermittent thermostat problems, loss of voltage, open circuits, drop-out of pressure switch, and a limit dropping out before the thermostat is satisfied. In addition, the device measures microamps in the flame rectification circuit and the accuracy of the pressure switch and helps to identify venting and airflow problems, the manufacturer states. Model STSVK is designed for analyzing Honeywell SmartValveâ„¢ ignition controls, while Model ST50K is designed for analyzing White-Rodgers 50AXX Series ignition controls.
