MARTINEZ, Ga. - Jesse Busby, 89, died Aug. 10, 2004. He founded the contracting company that would become Busby's Inc. Heating & Air Conditioning. "In 1945, my dad opened what is now Busby's Inc. Heating and Air Conditioning Co. in Millen, Ga.," wrote son and company President Rick Busby. "At that time, electrical appliances were becoming widely available and electricity was making its debut in rural Georgia."

Mr. Jesse Busby was a U.S. Navy veteran, sportsman, and member of the Hephzibah United Methodist Church, according to The Augusta Chronicle.

He was preceded in death by son Don Busby and is survived by wife Martha Dewell Busby; son Rick and four daughters, Carole Larkin, Kay Hogg, Frances Martin, and Susan Jeffcoat; and 11 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and caregiver Patricia Davis.
