HomeSeer is a Windows®-based home automation control system designed to let users check on the status of systems in the home via the Internet and make changes to a wide range of settings from a remote location. With version 1.7, users can verify the status of lights, security and alarm systems, thermostats, or other appliances. It can trigger events based on a wide range of mechanisms and take actions such as running computer software scripts, sending e-mails, and dialing a phone. It features an intuitive Web control capability, which allows a home's appliances to be checked via the Internet from a browser, telephone, or cellular phone, states the company.
