JP Lamborn Co.: Flexible Duct
August 1, 2003
AMBlue is flexible air ductwork designed and engineered with Pechiney’s patent-pending Moldgard™ co-extruded film, which places anti-microbial agents into the flexible duct’s inner core to resist mold and fungus growth. According to the manufacturer, this material gives antimicrobial coverage to the whole interior duct surface that will not flake off over time. It is offered in R6 and R8 thermal values. The ductwork has a reinforced, metalized vapor barrier. The duct is available in various sizes ranging from 4 to 20 inches in diameter. It comes in lengths of 25 feet, has a maximum velocity of 4,000 fpm, and an operating temperature of 0 degrees to 200 degrees F.
