VpCI®-609 provides environmentally acceptable and biodegradable corrosion protection for the interior of HVAC equipment, piping, and tanks, states the company. It provides up to 24 months of corrosion protection for the interior of ferrous and nonferrous equipment. Because treatment with this provides liquid, vapor phase, and interface protection (above the liquid level), it is ideal for protecting partially closed or sealed systems with hard-to-reach surfaces, recessed areas, and overhead cavities, the company says. Little or no surface preparation is required before application. After application, it does not need to be removed before further processing or use.
