Vapor-Logic®3, a humidifier control, now is interoperable with any network designed to communicate with building automation systems (BAS) using LonTalk protocol. This method of communication uses standard network variable types to set or change various outputs, such as relative humidity (rh) in the space or duct, and allows BAS to monitor output variables such as room and duct rh readings, steam output, and service information, says the company. The humidifier can be controlled and monitored from the BAS and the control's keypad at the humidifier. LonTalk comes standard on all of the company's humidifiers with Vapor-Logic3 control and is an option on the CRUV™ humidifier.
