MT. PROSPECT, Ill. - The HVACR program at Louisiana Technical College, Sullivan Campus, based in Bogalusa, La., was granted national accreditation. The executive committee of HVAC Excellence granted the program a five-year accreditation after conducting an onsite evaluation. The program was reviewed in the areas of curriculum, faculty, student facilities, placement service, financial aid, training facilities, and equipment and safety. It was determined that the program met the standards set forth by HVAC Excellence, which are based, in part, on the National Skill Standards.

According to HVAC Excellence, the state of Louisiana currently is working toward accreditation of all the HVACR programs on its 42 campuses.
