The Triple Duty® Valve performs all of the functions of three valves that are typically needed on the discharge side of hydronic pump systems. It includes a calibrated balance valve, a nonslam check valve, and a shutoff valve. The valve is available in a standard straight-pattern flange design. The company says that the balance valve optimizes system operating efficiency and provides precise flow with a maximum range of control, while the check valve ensures positive shutoff without water hammer or valve chatter, which is needed for zoned pumping, parallel and standby pumping, and condenser water applications. The shutoff includes a calibrated nameplate and memory button, allowing the whole valve to be returned to its initial balanced position after shutoff.
