Model 2024 vibration switch works with building automation control systems for fans, motors, pumps, and variable-frequency drives (VFD). It features a user-adjustable alarm and/or shutdown for setting vibration trip limits and a time delay for transient protection to prevent nuisance trips, says the company. When the vibration limit is exceeded, the switch is designed to alert the facility control room or automatically shut down the fan, motor, or pump. It has two LEDs to provide visual operational status. The limit output relay has both a normally open and normally closed contact. The switch mounts directly onto the fan, motor, or pump and can be wired directly to the VFD, the company states.
