Square D: Ground-Fault Relay
The Vigirexâ„¢ ground-fault relays are designed for use on equipment, such as HVAC units and manufacturing machines, used in industrial and commercial facilities. These ground-fault devices are designed to protect equipment far downstream of the main breaker. When a ground fault is detected, an associated switch or circuit breaker with a shunt trip disconnects the faulted line, states the company. Frequency filtering and narrow tripping tolerance in the new relays increase immunity to nuisance tripping, resulting in greater continuity of service, the company says. Features include fixed (RH10 Models) or settable (RH21 and RH99 Models) sensitivity and time delays with a wide range of pickup levels.
