DALLAS - BuilConn 2004 and the M2M (machine-to-machine) Expo and Conference took place April 13-16. The event brought together more than 500 building automation specialists to discuss and learn about the current status and future of intelligent, integrated buildings and the burgeoning relationship of buildings and smart devices.
The main topic of interest at BuilConn 2004 was the upsurge of enabling technologies, including XML and Web Services. The XML Pavilion held at the expo offered attendees a first look at nine manufacturers' new applications, products, and services, all utilizing XML/Web Services to further enable interoperability.
