A new CO2 sensor option for AAF®-HermanNelson® unit ventilators monitors classroom occupancy and automatically adjusts ventilation rates, the manufacturer states. Pitot collection tubes channel return room air to the sensor, which provides demand control ventilation (DCV) for optimum indoor air quality and efficient operation, says the company. According to the manufacturer, by delivering accurate ventilation based on occupancy, the sensor optimizes operating efficiency and minimizes the cost of conditioning outside air. Unit mounted, the sensor is factory integrated with MicroTech II™ controls.
