The PureAir™ air purification system is engineered for the most effective means of controlling IAQ and is made to combat all three classes of air contaminants — particles, bioaerosols, and odors/ chemicals — states the manufacturer. Using a combination of ultraviolet light and patented photo-catalytic oxidation technology, the system captures and destroys 75% of particles and 60% of bioaerosols as small as 0.3 microns, the company says. Household air enters the system and passes through a 4-in., MERV 9 pleated filter; UVA lamps; and a metal mesh filter.
