Combined A/C Shipments Up 5% For 2002
Heat pump shipments of 165,178 units dropped 9% from June 2001. Combined shipments for the first six months are up 5% from last year.
According to ARI, June 2002 factory stocks were down 12,426 units from May 2002 and down 44,188 units from June 2001. Distributor inventories for June 2002 were down 43,410 units from May 2002 and down 248,297 units from June 2001. Distributor shipments for June 2002 were up 6% from June 2001, with year-to-date shipments up 6%.
