WESTPORT, Conn. — Entries are now being accepted for the second annual Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating Exposition (AHR Expo) Innovation Awards, which will be held in conjunction with the 2004 show in Anaheim, Calif., Jan. 26-28.

According to show organizers, the awards are designed to promote and encourage product innovation by recognizing exceptional achievements, and are jointly sponsored by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI), and the International Exposition Company (IEC), producers and organizers of the expo.

The most innovative products among the thousands on display at the AHR Expo will be selected in eight specific categories: heating, cooling, refrigeration, ventilation, indoor air quality (IAQ), energy management, tools and instruments, and software. Due to the response of last year’s awards program, the tools and instruments and software category have split into two separate categories this year.

Entry forms have been sent to more than 1,200 exhibiting companies, and winners will be announced in mid-November 2003. An award for each of the categories will be presented to the winners at a special reception during the 2004 AHR Expo. Winners will receive placards to place in their booths and an etched crystal award.
